    The Aquatell Clack™ water softener features the sophisticated and high-flow Clack WS1 metered electronic control valve, Structural composite tanks, brine tank safety float, and 10% cross linked resin.

    Clack WS1 Water Softener Troubleshooting – FAQs & Solutions

    Why is my Clack WS1 stuck in regeneration?
    • The piston, seals, or spacers may be worn and need replacement.
    • The drive motor could have failed—listen for motor noise.
    • Debris in the valve body may require disassembly and cleaning.
    Why is my Clack WS1 not softening the water?
    • Make sure the bypass valve is in the service position.
    • Verify that the hardness setting matches your water’s actual hardness.
    • Check the resin bed—if fouled or aged, it may need cleaning or replacement.
    • Clean the injector and drain line, as blockages can prevent proper regeneration.
    Why won’t my WS1 draw brine during regeneration?
    • The injector/nozzle/venturi may be clogged—remove and clean.
    • The brine line may be leaking or kinked.
    • The safety float in the brine tank could be stuck.
    • Check for salt bridging and break it up if present.
    Why is water constantly running to the drain?
    • Worn piston and seals are the most common cause.
    • The drain line flow control (DLFC) may be stuck or clogged.
    • The valve could be stuck in regeneration mode.
    Why is the WS1 display blank / no power?
    • Check if the outlet has power.
    • Inspect the transformer and wiring.
    • If no response, the transformer or control board may need replacement.
    Why is there no water flow during regeneration?
    • The drain line could be kinked or blocked.
    • The DLFC button may be clogged—clean it.
    • The piston may be stuck mid-cycle.
