    Description

    The Viqua VT1 is a compact 1-gallon-per-minute UV disinfection system designed for low-flow residential and point-of-use applications such as single faucets, under-sink systems, or cottages. It effectively destroys bacteria, viruses, and cysts including E. coli, Giardia, and Cryptosporidium, ensuring safe and clean drinking water. The system features a high-output UV lamp with a 9,000-hour life, Safety-Loc interlock connector for safe maintenance, and an LED power indicator for easy monitoring. Built to UL electrical standards for the U.S. and Canada, the VT1 is compact (12.5" x 2.5") and easy to install even in tight spaces. It operates at 1 GPM at 30 mJ/cm² (with flow capabilities up to 2 GPM), supports a maximum pressure of 125 psi, and uses a 13-watt power supply compatible with 100–140 V. Routine maintenance includes annual lamp replacement and periodic cleaning or replacement of the quartz sleeve and O-rings. Compact, efficient, and reliable, the VT1 provides dependable UV protection for small water applications.

    Product Maintenance

    Regular maintenance ensures your UV system runs safely and effectively:

    • UV Lamp: Replace every 12 months (9,000 hrs)
    • Quartz Sleeve: Replace every 24 months or if damaged/un-cleanable
    • Quartz Sleeve Cleaning: At least once a year during lamp change
    • O-Rings/Seals: Inspect annually, replace as needed
    Lamp Care & Disposal

    Some UV lamps contain a small amount of mercury, similar to household fluorescent bulbs. When replacing your lamp, please dispose of it responsibly by following your local municipal or provincial recycling guidelines. Many communities offer Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop-off programs or recycling depots that accept UV lamps.
