    Description

The UV Pure Potable 500P is a high-performance ultraviolet disinfection system engineered for safe, reliable potable water treatment in residential, light commercial, institutional, and remote facility applications. Unlike conventional quartz-sleeve UV systems, it uses UV Pure’s proprietary Crossfire™ technology, which exposes water to UV from multiple directions for improved pathogen inactivation and real-world performance under challenging water conditions.

The 500P is well-suited for properties that experience higher water demand, simultaneous fixture use, or intermittent peak usage. Its intelligent control architecture includes microprocessor-based monitoring, built-in diagnostics, and simplified front-panel access to reduce maintenance complexity and minimize downtime.

Designed for the diverse water environments found across North America — including seasonal well water and hard municipal sources — the 500P provides dependable ultraviolet disinfection without chemicals, taste, odor, or byproducts. It can operate as a standalone potable treatment solution or as part of a multi-stage treatment train for more complex applications.

Their products leverage patented Crossfire Technology — dual UV lamps with 360° coverage and smart sensors — to deliver reliable, self-cleaning, high-performance UV disinfection even in challenging water conditions, and many systems are certified to stringent standards such as NSF/ANSI and EPA validations. Over the years the company has earned multiple industry awards for innovation and is trusted by engineers and water professionals worldwide for durable, quality solutions that make safe water a practical reality across potable, reuse, and wastewater treatment applications.

    Product Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures your UV system runs safely and effectively:

    • UV Lamp: Replace every 12 months (9,000 hrs)
    • Quartz Sleeve: Replace every 24 months or if damaged/un-cleanable
    • Quartz Sleeve Cleaning: At least once a year during lamp change
    • O-Rings/Seals: Inspect annually, replace as needed
    Lamp Care & Disposal

Some UV lamps contain a small amount of mercury, similar to household fluorescent bulbs. When replacing your lamp, please dispose of it responsibly by following your local municipal or provincial recycling guidelines. Many communities offer Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop-off programs or recycling depots that accept UV lamps.
