This warranty is for manufacturer's defects only. Certain control valve components, such a the main piston, seal & spacers, and the brine valve will experience wear and tear during normal usage of the softener and are not covered under the warranty.
CanadaI ordered this filter to remove/reduce chloramines (Victoria, B.C. area) from the house water supply. Products came with pretty much everything, except installation and operating instructions (there was a manual for the Fleck valve but it was for generic programming usage). These were e-mailed but seem to be for generic filter installation (lots of programming parameters that weren't available or applicable). That said, the filter is well constructed and works well (just under one week of usage so far). The filtered water tasted much better than the unfiltered (outside faucets are not filtered) on a blind side-by-side taste test.. Less than a 5-10 psi drop with the 2 c.f. unit..
