Ultraviolet (UV) Lamps and Sleeves

About Ultraviolet (UV) Lamps & Sleeves

UV lamps and quartz sleeves are the heart of any ultraviolet (UV) water purification system. The UV lamp produces the germicidal light that neutralizes bacteria, viruses, and cysts, while the quartz sleeve keeps the lamp dry and properly positioned inside the UV chamber. Together, these components ensure safe, chemical-free disinfection for your drinking water.

Over time, UV lamps lose intensity, and quartz sleeves can become coated with scale or iron deposits that block UV light. Replacing your UV lamp annually and cleaning or replacing the quartz sleeve as needed keeps your UV system running at peak efficiency—delivering maximum protection and reliable, crystal-clear water every day. If the quartz sleeve remains undamaged throughout its lifespan, it is recommended to replace it every two years.

At Aquatell, we offer a complete selection of genuine replacement UV lamps and quartz sleeves from leading brands like Viqua, Luminor, and Pura UV. Each lamp and sleeve is built to meet strict North American performance and safety standards, ensuring compatibility, durability, and worry-free installation. All products ship quickly from within Canada for fast delivery.

Lamp Care & Responsible Recycling

UV lamps, like regular fluorescent light bulbs, may contain a small amount of mercury. When it’s time to replace your lamp, a little care goes a long way. Please recycle your used UV lamp responsibly by following your local municipal or provincial recycling guidelines. Many communities have Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) depots or recycling programs that make safe disposal quick and easy.
