Iron Water Filters

An iron water filter removes dissolved and particulate iron from well water before it can cause orange or reddish brown staining on sinks, toilets, laundry and fixtures, metallic tasting water, and buildup in plumbing and appliances. Iron in well water often appears with manganese, which causes black staining, and hydrogen sulphide, which gives water a rotten egg smell, so the right iron filter for your home depends on what else is in your water. This collection includes whole house iron filters and iron reducing filter cartridges. The Atmos-AIO uses air injection oxidation (AIO) to remove iron, manganese and sulphur without chemicals, making it a strong choice for well water with higher iron levels or multiple problems. The Wellmaster water softener can remove low to moderate levels of clear water (dissolved) iron while also softening hard water. For lower iron levels or lower flow applications, cartridge based options such as the Max Flow Iron Cartridge Filter System and Pentek RFFE iron reducing cartridges offer a simpler, lower cost solution.
