What Is Aqualux?
Aqualux is Aquatell's house brand. It's the brand name we use for the products we build. We sell products under this banner for two reasons. The first reason is that many products in the water treatment industry are actually a collection of different components made by different manufacturers, all assembled together to create the final product that a consumer might buy. While each of the components that comprise the final product have a name and a manufacturer, the final product does not. Water softeners are like this. As an example, many consumers think that a 'Fleck 5600SXT' is a softener.
There's no such thing as a Fleck 5600SXT softener!
Surprisingly, there's no such thing as a Fleck 5600SXT water softener. 'Fleck 5600SXT' refers only to the water softener control valve (the 'head'). The reason for the confusion is clear - the vast majority of online merchants name their entire softener based on the name of the control valve. This is unfortunate, because it creates the impression that a Fleck 5600SXT bought from Merchant A will be exactly the same as one bought from Merchant B. This couldn't be further from the truth.
While the control valve will be the same, the softener resin, the tanks used, the safety float, and the hardware, can be from a variety of different manufacturers - some good, and some not-so-good. The warranty terms can be different on all of these components also. All of these components are crucial to the performance, longevity, and ultimately the satisfaction with the product.
And when you understand that these products are assembled from a variety of products, from a variety of manufacturers, you also start to understand that the level of manufacturing expertise of the merchant you buy from is extremely important. Products that go into the build of a softener, for instance, must be sourced properly, and compatibility of components needs to be considered. And once components have been sourced, the softener needs to be built correctly. In short - a softener is not an 'out of the box' product that's ordered from a supplier as a completed good. It's a built product, and that process requires experience and expertise.
So we created the Aqualux brand to create transparency to consumers about what a softener actually is so that you can make informed decisions about the products you buy. We build every Aqualux system with the best available components. Wherever possible we choose components made in North America or Europe, and we always try to source as many components from the same manufacturer as possible to ensure component compatibility. The second reason we brand products as Aqualux, is when we see a gap in what's offered online, and create a product to fill that gap. A great example is the Aqualux Reverse Osmosis product line. We've built a product that uses the best quality components available in the industry, in a unique design that colour-codes the cartridge housings making filter changes easy and intuitive. And we've done this using components sourced from North America and Europe (unheard of, right!?) and we assemble these systems in the United States.
