Can I Install these systems myself?
Yes! Aquatell selects products to sell that can be installed by a DIYer with average skills. The warranty on the products is fully valid if you install it yourself too.
Can You Ship To Me?
For sure - that's what we do! We ship from our Ontario warehouse all over Canada. Shipping is free to all provinces except Newfoundland where we need to charge a small fee for shipping. We also charge an extra fee to ship to the Canadian Territories.
Is There Ongoing Maintenance with These Products?
The Pentair RO system requires cartridge changes. The pre-filters are typically changed once-per-year. You can see these here. The Reverse Osmosis membrane on the system is typically changed every two years. You can see that here. All filter elements are quick-change style. Changing the filters takes about 5 minutes.
The Pioneer™ water filter system has a cartridge that needs to be replaced. The system monitors water consumption, and indicator lights on the top of the system tell you when it's time to change the cartridge. When the system is being used primarily for lead reduction, the capacity of a cartridge is about 100,000 gallons, which is about 1-years worth of water for a typical home in Canada.
Does Aquatell Offer Installation?
No, Aquatell doesn't offer installation services. As an internet based retailer that ships coast to coast, we aren't able to offer installation. But we sell products that are fully DIY-ready. This means that you can likely do the installation yourself, but it also means that these products will be a breeze for any plumber to install.
Don't Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems Waste Water?
It's true that reverse osmosis systems send water to drain. It's part of how they operate. But when you look at the total cost to generate a gallon of pure water by reverse osmosis, there's no technology that comes close to the quality for the price. Most reverse osmosis systems generate 1 gallon of water for every 5 gallons of water they send to drain, but the Pentair system offered by Aquatell has a 1:1 ratio. There's no other RO system on the market that comes even close.
